hi siliconman01,

A quick check of Erase History scanning did not list these files, are you sure Ace Utilities is deleting these files? Because we have these in our ignore list.

Here is a before and after picture of the Task Scheduler. I took a shot of the Task Scheduler, then promptly ran the Clean Up as shown above, and then took a shot of the Task Scheduler again. Certainly looks to me that AU is doing it.

Hi,
I posted about AU does not open in a limited user account (Win 8.1 64-bit) (Posted: Sat Sep 27, 2014 11:16 pm. -in this thread-)
If I renew my license, AU will be displayed in a standard user account?

It is not related to renewal, we are still checking the issue. Now that you have mentioned renewal, we will have to check that.

By Cleanup, do you mean Erase Your History? Or is it Wizard? If it is the Wizard, what tools are selected to run? thanks.

Hi,

Can you please export the 'Ace Utilities Preferences' from the Registry?

Log in to the standard account you use. Start 'regedit.exe'. Go to 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Acelogix\Ace Utilities'. Right-click on 'Ace Utilities' and select 'Export'. Save the file as .REG.

Either attach it in your next post here or email us.

Hi,
With respect to the issue about standar user account, I unistalled AU and reinstalled but the problem persisted. All is on Win 8.1 Pro 64-bit.
Attached is the REG file extracted after fresh installation of AU 5.6 64-bit.
Thanks.

Hi,
Another thing that i was noted, on Win 8.1 Pro 64-bit, is that Erase Your History dialog shows the Firefox item when it is not installed (See attached image).
I have understood that if a browser is not installed its icon is not displayed in Erase Your History, as in Win 7 (in this case of Win 7, I uninstalled Google Chorme and then the Chrome icon disappeared from Erase your History).

Are there any other browsers like Pale Moon, SeaMonkey or IceDragon installed?
It can also show the Firefox page if there are some remnants of Firefox in the drive or Registry. Did you ever install Firefox and later uninstall it?

BTW, it is not showing Opera since opera is not installed.

Thanks.
Unzip the attachment. From the 'standard account', run the .REG file to merge it. Run Ace Utilities and see if the issue is resolved.

If this is indeed the case, we've fixed it and will be there in the next upload.
