All duplicated deleted!!!! :-(

If you choose "Check Mark --> All within this file´s folder", and happnes that all the duplicates are in the same folder,then all copies are deleted!!!!!
This should NOT BE the case. At least one copy should NEVER been deleted.

This is serious.....are there more risky situations like this ..... ?

"All with in a folder" means ALL - original or duplicate, it does not matter. :--|

'Find duplicate files' tool has many 'select' options for different scenarios. It's up to the user to choose the option that best suits the requirement. As stated in the documentation, users are requested to check the file selection they have made before proceeding with the deletion.

If the option is set to delete to the 'recycle bin' , then you can restore the files from the bin.

But I still continue considering it a bad "feature" of the program.

1) It´s dangerous (yes, yes, it is documented .... but is dangerous)
2) It´s not useful . What it is useful is to have a way of deleting ALL COPIES, but ALLWAYS keeeping an original copy.
Even if I accept your point, the system lacks of a way of choosing ALL the COPIES and keeping one original.

I choose ACE for deleting duplicates, but fall short from my expectation.....

After choosing "All within this folder", you can easily retain one copy of the file by removing the 'check-mark' of any one duplicate entry for that file. Then, when you proceed with the deletion, just that one copy will remain.

That´s easy when you have just few files.
When you are cleaning hundreds of them, grouped in dozens of groups, that´something that you just can´t control.

Can you believe that this is NOT good?

Added to v5.2.4.474 beta:
A 'warning' message has been added if all the files of a particular group(s) are selected and sent for deletion. The user has to confirm the action for the 'delete' to proceed.
