Whenever a fresh copy of Ace Utilities installed over a previous installation, it creates NSIS.Library.RegTool.v3{*} and a .tmp file in the installation directory. Also, it creates a NSIS.Library.RegTool.v3{*} registry key into HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE

Hi,
In my case, the installation of this RC1 over the previous installed AU didn´t create those files (Win 10 Home 64-bit). I checked it; I have the same folders and files in Program files as you, excepting the 2 files that you mention.

It is created by NSIS ( our setup creation program ) since it cannot replace the wipeext.dll file which is usually locked by Windows Explorer.
The setup then asks you to reboot. On reboot, it replaces the wipeext.dll file.

NSIS.Library.Regtool.v3 file = the application that runs on next reboot
nsra9aa.tmp file = new wipeext.dll file

The registry key is used to determine the new filename of nsra9aa.tmp file (i.e wipeext.dll).

All of these are deleted on next reboot.

I updated to version 6.2.0.289. In my case, after reboot, the .tmp ile was not deleted. I uninstalled the program and removed NSIS.Library.RegTool.v3{*} registry key from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE. Then, I re-installed the program.

Sorry, I was wrong.

According to the below link, it deletes itself only after two reboots.

We are not sure where to place the button. Also, non-expert users will not want to use such a tool either, it can be unsafe too.

Like I said before, your competitors already have this option in their programs. It's a very handy tool and I'm sure most of the Ace Utilities users will love to have this option.

When wiping the Recycle bin, the window still shows the "Ready" status while files are being wiped. I think it should be replaced with something else like "Running" or just remove it.

If Registry Finder is included in AU, what about the customers that have already purchased a Registry Finder license?
