Are there any issues with Ace utilities if I upgrade to Windows8?

I'm running Windows 8 pro - just migrated from windows 7.

Ace Utilities isn't working for me. Not sure if it's because I'm running the 64 bit version of Windows 8.

Installed the following http://acelogix.com/downloads/aceutils_rc2.exe , and system hangs.

Tried several times.

Not sure if it's just me....

Do you have the 64 bit version of Ace Utilities?

64 bit, version 5.3. Tried multiple times.

Uninstalled from add/remove programs, then tried again. Freezes my computer.

Any suggestions?

Where does it 'hang' - when you open Ace Utilities or any particular tool.

Hello. When I double click on Ace Utilities, the entire computer freezes up. The program never even opens.

Let me know if I can provide you with any more information.

Thanks.

That's really strange. Can you please check the following.

1) Go to Ace Utilities installation folder. Find the file named 'au.exe'. Double-click it to start Ace Utilities. See if Ace Utilities opens properly.
2) If step 1 fails, can you check if Ace Utilities v5.2.5 (current version) works properly?

Do let us know.

Ok guys, I have an intel i7 processor with 16 gigs of ram running windows 7 and can get windows 8 for 15 bucks. I am not going there until somebody tells me that Ace utilities works without issues. (and a couple of other programs I use)
