RegBak: how to display right-hand panel on Help .chm file

Post by RonCam » Sat Feb 25, 2012 6:55 pm

I am running Windows 7 Professional.

What is the trick to accessing and completely opening the Help file?

regbak.chm lists as a Compiled HTML Help File. Windows 7 opens it with 'HTML Help Executable' and that seems as if it should be correct, but I see only the left-hand panel. The right is nearly blank, except for 'Navigation to the web page was cancelled.' The left side displays the help topics that should be visible.

Also, is Help supposed to be accessible from the program's main window? I can't see a help button, or a menu selection. So I need 'more help!'

What am I doing wrong?

Are you calling 'regbak' from Ace Utilities or the standalone version of 'regbak'? Are you trying to open the help file from a 'network drive'?

The standalone version does not have the 'help' button integrated into it. But, if you are running 'regbak' from 'Ace Utilities', then clicking the 'More information...' link in the 'regbak' start page will open the 'help' file.
