Yes, System TuneUp v2.2 release also contains support for Firefox 3.mr.brownstone wrote:Will these changes with Firefox 3 be included in the final version of System tuneup 2.2?

Good mate:)
When is the release?
Also, ST is the same as AU, just with a different modern interface right?

Re: AU x64 Doesn't Work for Firefox 3
The release will most probably be within the next 24 hours. Yes, System TuneUp is almost identical to Ace Utilities. There are some minor changes here and there - for example: the 'Backup/Restore' tool in AU and STU, 'Find empty folders' tool of AU which is absent in STU, Windows 98/ME support of AU, etc.mr.brownstone wrote:Good mate:)

Re: AU x64 Doesn't Work for Firefox 3
Thanx mate for the answer:)
So I guess if you have XP or Vista STU is the way to go.

Nope. v4.2.0.456 - still doesn't see Firefox 3 cookies.Aneesh wrote:Go to the 'download' page and download the latest release of Ace Utilities.Babar wrote:What about AU 32-bit? It still doesn't know where Firefox 3 cookies are.
Can I help you track down the problem?
Re: AU x64 Doesn't Work for Firefox 3
As you guys stated, it only works for the default FF install. But at least it does that now.
I use the AU command line and the little dialog box just hangs on Cleaning history... if FF is open.
As much as I hate to, I'm going to have to change to something that works for all my ff installs unless you plan to add this feature.

I just tested Ace Utilities on Windows XP x64, Windows Vista x32 and x64. Erase History -> Firefox -> 'Execute Now' deletes all the selected options on both the test profiles (default and a secondary one) of Firefox 3. Note that Firefox was not running in the background at that time.jwebby wrote:As you guys stated, it only works for the default FF install. But at least it does that now.

Re: AU x64 Doesn't Work for Firefox 3
My problem is with Windows XP Pro 32-bit. I have only one installation of and only one profile for Firefox 3. The cookie manager only sees the single cookie I 'saved' from a previous installation. Where does AU look for the cookies? How can I force it to look in the proper place?
This is really the only thing that I regularly use AU for. What information do you need to help identify the problem?
Thanks.

I need FF3 (which works) and FF2 which doesn't work.
I might try reinstalling FF2.

Babar,
Did you download au98.exe ?
Please let us know where your profile folders are. If you don't know how to find it, let me know.

Jwebby,
We forgot to add FF2 support ; can do it later today. We did not think one would use both FF2 and FF3
Where are these FF2 profiles located ?

I don't understand this, the other cleaner I have finds all firefox profiles, no matter where they are at or what version they are. It even finds FFv1.5 and the profile is on Drive D in some obscure folder.hari wrote:Jwebby,

You don't have to add ff2 on my account, I'm changing to another cleaner.
I know all this sounds crazy but I have to make sure my sites look right in at least IE6 and FF2.
Re: AU x64 Doesn't Work for Firefox 3
Jwebby,
AU would check a profile folder to check if there is a cookie.sqlite file present. If it is there, it decides it is a FF3 profile folder and won't look for cookies.txt file in the same folder. FF3 automatically converts cookies.txt to cookie.sqlite on install.
Please let me know if FF2 uses the same profile folder as FF3 ; all we need to do is remove one line of code.

I have XP Pro 32-bit. Are you suggesting I should install the Windows 98/ME version?hari wrote:Babar,

Please let us know where your profile folders are.
The profile folder is where it normally should be:
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default
Thanks for your help!
