Before taking it to a computer guru, I was trying to resolve this myself thinking the registry needs to be cleaned up. I ran through the "remove junk files" with no problems; however, the first time I ran the "Clean System Registry" -- during the middle of the run, I got the blue screen of death, and now every time after that I have tried to run "Clean System Registry," it runs for 15-20 seconds like it is cleaning the system and then the entire program just disappears.

Help!
I have searched the forum and no one seems to have had this problem. I just downloaded the trial version of Ace Utilities because I am getting the blue screen of death over and over again and a pop-up that says, "One of the files containing the system's registry data had to be recovered by use of a log or alternate copy. The recovery was successful."

I have to click on the icon to bring the program back up and have rebooted my computer hoping it was some download glitch, but the same thing continues to happen. Any ideas??? Thank you!

Unfortunately, this Windows error can be caused by a number of reasons and probably requires entensive troubleshooting depending upon the cause. If you use google to search for relevant infomation, you will be able to find a lot of users who have posted similar issues in various forum: for ex:

Help!
Thank you for your help -- I have been googling a lot and reading different forums, which is what led me to your product. I think it is time to take my computer to a "guru" who can look at this further. I think something is definitely wrong with my registry, but I have tried two different products now (yours and Reg Cure) and they both turn themselves off (close) before finishing their tasks. Have never experienced this with anything else. Thanks again for your help.
