When cleaning history, program hangs ...

at "cleaning IE visited web pages"

once I clean the histroy out using some other method, the program works fine, but that kind of defeats the whole purpose of using the program

version 3.2.0.4042
Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.11

Please check if 'clean temporary internet files' option is checked under
Erase History > Misc page.

Yes it is checked Hari.

When starting erase, everything works fine for a few seconds as the program cycles through the initials tasks and then it hangs at "Cleaning IE Visited Web Pages." The "Scanning ... Please Wait..." remains in the center of the screen, but no progress is possible until the Cancel Button is clicked, upon which the remainder of the tasks (deleting index.dat, for example) complete and the program then asks for permission to reboot.

I would also add that, until 2-3 months ago, the program operated properly. Thanks for any additional thoughts you may have.
