Re: Registry Backup and Restore (RegBak) Beta

Installed on Windows 8.1.1 x64 Professional system. Beta 1 does not remember all the selected hive settings between runs.

Is this feature going to be a separate feature to be downloaded separately for future versions of AU ? If so, it should have an installer/uninstaller so that it doesn't look like a "second thought" feature of AU.

RegBak will be available with Ace Utilities and also as separate utility, just like it is available now. The new version of RegBak will be available with next revision of Ace Utilities, which is underway.

1. The folder is created using the 'user-set date or time', but the listing still shows the default format (yyyy-MM-dd), for now.
2. The 'help link' from inside the 'Options': We'll check it. Meanwhile you can use F1 from RegBak main GUI to launch help.

Using F1, none of the topics in the Help CHM show any information when selected.

Hi

You have to 'unblock' the chm file From 'Properties'.

Yep, that worked. Thanks! :)

Hopefully the manual "unblock" will not be necessary in the final release, eh?

Windows will make all files downloaded from the net 'Blocked' by default.
We will have to make a setup file for it to work automatically.

Looking good. The only thing I suggest is that the time format should display a colon ( : ) between the hour and minute instead of a hyphen.

A colon cannot be used in a path, so we cannot use that in the <time> variable :(.
So we replace it with a hyphen.

We can make the main window list show time with a colon, though.
