Re: Ace Utilities 5.4.0.537 Beta

Windows 8 x64 Professional, MS Office 2013 Home and Business installed locally on computer. AU registry cleaner detects a long list of MS Office Installer items that should be removed. These are all in the list of keys in the attached .zip file. On removing these registry keys, one or more of the re...

Re: Ace Utilities 5.4.0.537 Beta

No new beta version to test ? Seems like it has been quite a long time since beta 1 was released.

Re: Ace Utilities 5.4.0.537 Beta

In the Registry Cleaner module, keyboard commands such as Ctrl and Shift do not work to permit the user to select/highlight multiple registry keys.

Re: Ace Utilities 5.4.0.537 Beta

The Export/Import Settings utilities under Menu>Settings did not work for (my settings were not properly restored): Options>Miscellaneous (all the options on Miscellaneous returned to the default settings.) Re: Ace Utilities 5.4.0.537 Beta

Thanks. Have V5.4.0 beta downloaded and installed.

First bug:

In the Start menu, START>All Programs>Ace Utilities>Utilities, the icon for Registry Compactor is incorrect. It is showing the icon for Registry Cleaner instead of the rc.exe icon.

Re: Ace Utilities 5.4.0.537 Beta

Did you withdraw the beta download V5.4.0.537 or is it a incorrect download URL address?

Create Restore Point: Event ID 8194 error

This applies to Windows 7 SP1 x86 and x64 Professional with AU V5.3.0.485.

On using the registry cleaner, a VSS error occurs when creating a system restore point prior to the registry cleaning. See attached pic. This is 100% repeatable.

Re: Ace Utilities v5.3.0

It looks like every item I posted as bugs in RC5 got repaired for the gold release EXCEPT the icon for the Registry Defrag in the Start Menu. In START>Ace Utilities>Utilities, "Registry Compactor" has the same icon as "Registry Cleaner". RC.exe in the main Ace Utilities folder under C:\Program Files...

Re: Ace Utilities v5.3.0 RC5

On a clean install, there is no 'RegBakFolder' in the registry. There will be no such key until the user, for the first time, goes to the 'Options > Clean System Registry' and clicks 'OK'. If there is no path set in the registry, the Clean System Registry will 'fall back' to the default 'localappda...

Re: Ace Utilities v5.3.0 RC5

This applies to Windows 7 SP1 x86 and x64 Professional with AU RC5. When you open an AU utility such as Registry Cleaner or Startup Manager via Start>Programs>Ace Utilities>Utilities, the AU main window remains open when you close the selected utility. Closing the selected utility should completely ...

Re: Ace Utilities v5.3.0 RC5

This is on Windows 7 SP1 x86 and x64 Professional with AU V5.3 RC5. On performing a "fresh/clean install", the installer wizard needs to create the \Users\UserName\Local\AceLogix\Ace Utilities\Backup folder on the initial installation. With the actual Backup folder missing, the first time a user run...

Re: Ace Utilities v5.3.0 RC5

* Does it only affect 'Pitchblack' theme or all of them? * Did this issue only start with AU v5.3 Beta/RC? All color themes are affected. I am not sure if it was occurring on previous versions of AU or on V5.3 Beta 1-4. I only implemented the option yesterday after a fresh install of AU V5.3RC5. I ...

Re: Ace Utilities v5.3.0 RC5

This applies to Windows 7 SP1 x86 Professional. It DOES NOT apply to Windows 7 SP1 x64 Professional. The option shown in the attached pic does not function correctly on 32-bit Windows 7. It clips off the Restore icon. Strange! What's that icon on the 'titlebar'? :--| That's from program DisplayFusi...

Re: Ace Utilities v5.3.0 RC5
