issue resolved

My isp changed, and thankfully they offer MacAfee instead of CA, so I removed CA and loaded MacAfee, and was able to load and run Ace Utilities.

Yes, you have correctly defined the problem. CA has updated their security suite, and since then this problem has occurred.

I have sent 2 emails to support but have not received any replies, so I'll try the forum. I had been using Ace Utilities for the past year on my pc.
