Google Chrome Cookies

Post by FAM07 » Tue Dec 13, 2011 11:34 pm

Hi,

I have observed that AU 5.2.4 32 bit possibly it is not working properly with "Erase Your History" app used for Google Chrome explorer. Google Chrome is version 15.0.874.121m. The OS is Windows XP SP3 32 bit.

The Chrome cookies can not be eliminated by any form using Erase Your History: using both "Delete Unchecked Cookies" of Cookie Manager, or "Execute now" (with Cookies checked) do not work; the cookie list allways continues present. Otherwise "Delete Unchecked Cookies" works fine for IE (then the cookies list appears empty).

Thanks for your comments.

Finished checking 'cookie manager' with 'Google Chrome 16.0.912.63 m'. Cookie handling works as expected. :--| Can you please confirm?

Hi,
I have to comment that the issue persist. Chrome cookies can not be eliminated by any form using Erase Your History ["Delete Unchecked Cookies" of Cookie Manager, or "Execute now" (with Cookies checked)]; the cookie list allways continues present in the Cookie Manager. Thre Chrome version is 16.0.912.63 m. Has Ace Utilities to be uninstalled and re-installed for fixing the issue?
Thanks

Re-installing 'may' help in some cases. Can you please try the uninstall and then reinstall? Please let us know.

Aneesh,
I tried to unistall and re-install and is all the same for that Google Chrome version, the issue continues.
In the Cookie Manager the cookie list always continues present. "Delete Unchecked Cookies" works fine for Internet Explorer 8.
AU is been tried in a netbook with Windows XP Home Edition 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Compilation 2600.
I will be waiting your comments, thanks for supporting.

Strange, it is. :--|

Repeated tests show that cookies are getting deleted. Are you using the 'default user profile' or have you created other profiles in Chrome?

Yes, this issue results strange. The Google Chrome was installed and used with all setting in default mode, it was not changed anything. The only one thing is that one plugin was installed (Youtube Downloader plugin).

I'm testing a site I've built using the latest build of Chrome on Windows 7 and for some reason it's having issues with cookies. From what I can tell the cookies are being set correctly by the php script but then fail some basic validation in my script on the next page load and are then reset to the default setting.

What is baffling is when using Chrome with Windows XP there are no issues at all. Additionally there are no issues when using IE 8 on Windows 7 or the OSX build of Chrome, Firefox or Safari.

Anyone have any suggestions?
